Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) centres on the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption or blockage in the body’s energy system. Based on the Chinese meridian system, the body is comprised of – and divided into – energy fields. Any blockages to these energy fields are viewed as the primary source of psychological and physical problems.

How is EFT taught?

During your EFT Training Consultation, Joy will explain the origins of EFT and how it was discovered.   You will be supported in the privacy of the Hands of Joy treatment room and while you focus on your negative feeling or emotion, Joy uses her fingertips in a tapping sequence to stimulate certain meridian energy points on your face, upper body and hands.

The full EFT sequence works to realign the disrupted energy meridians and address underlying emotional issues to aid healing.  Most people notice a shift in intensity of their emotions very quickly.

Instead of just having EFT done TO you, Joy’s training consultation includes teaching you a set up process, each specific tapping point and supervising you until you are fluent in these and can administer a full session of EFT to yourself.   This may involve running through the full tapping sequence 3 to 4 times until you are comfortable with it.

There is detailed information and proper sequence to impart during your EFT session and because we are dealing with emotions and shifting energies it is essential that you receive detailed training notes with illustrations that you can refer back to after your session, at home.
